Michael Rea is a leader, educator, and innovator in fixing health care. Previously, Michael was a member of the founding team and Chief of Staff at a technology-enabled behavioral health company.
In 2017, Michael led efforts to create an internal startup effort at Caravan Health and lectured on quality and alternative payment models. Before joining Caravan Health, Michael was Chief Health Policy Strategy with ReefPoint Group – a Washington D.C. area consulting firm where he ran the innovation think tank for Navy Medicine. Michael also has an extensive background in education and advising new health care programs at Dartmouth College where he coached project teams with the Master of Health Care Delivery Science Program.
In addition, Michael has a decade of experience teaching and course design experience with the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice and the Tuck School of Business. Michael is a U.S. Naval Academy alum who served as a Navy Medical Service Corps Officer at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74).
A cycling and skiing enthusiast, Michael holds a Master of Public Health degree from Dartmouth College and enjoys coffee.
