Dr. Mendenhall has practiced addiction medicine for nearly 20 years. He is the Chief Medical Officer of Central City Concern in Portland, OR, a leading nonprofit providing housing, health and employment assistance.
Previously, Dr. Mendenhall worked at Providence Health Systems for over 5 years.
Dr. Mendenhall also formerly managed 24 outpatient treatment practices providing medication treatment for opioid and alcohol use disorders as a regional medical director, overseeing clinical operations in MA, PA, CT and several other states.
Prior to this role, Dr. Mendenhall co-founded an innovative outpatient integrated treatment program for opioid use disorder, HealthWorks NW, which was acquired by Hazelden Betty Ford.
Dr. Mendenhall supervises complex medical detoxification, and provides multidisciplinary, integrative pain management consultation. He is a passionate clinical and community educator, thought leader and entrepreneur.
