About Boulder Care

Boulder Care offers telehealth addiction treatment grounded in kindness, respect, and unconditional support. Our program is designed by addiction medicine specialists and people with lived experience of recovery. It is rooted in years of clinical expertise, proven research, and learnings from our participants.

Our mission is to improve the lives of people with substance use disorders. We provide the medication, resources, and support to help our participants succeed on their own terms, wherever they are in their journey.

Boulder is welcoming new participants in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington regardless of insurance carrier or ability to pay. Participants can self-enroll in our treatment program, or we offer several ways to refer participants to Boulder Care.

Evidence-Based Recovery

Medication-based treatment works. Decades of research continue to show that offering medication as one component of a larger recovery program can save lives, improve quality of life, and save money. Yet only about 10% of those who would benefit from this treatment have access to it – Boulder can fix that.

 OFF Opioids

In the cycle of addiction, there are dramatic peaks and valleys—intense overstimulation on opioids, and dramatically reduced blood flow and impaired functioning when deprived of them.

Our Values

  1. Participants always come first.

We reduce harm, celebrate milestones, and offer unconditional support.

Our company was designed to align its success with that of our participants, providers and partners. If ever there’s doubt, participants come first.

  2. Our opportunity is also our duty.

The more we grow, the more people are counting on us. We take this responsibility very seriously.

We’re grateful to customers and investors for recognizing that when we do the right thing for participants, ultimately, everyone will win.

  3. To move the industry forward, follow the data.

Our program is not only evidence-based, it's evidence-led. The industry has been plagued by harmful misinformation for too long.

Plans are built on science, guided by decades of real experience, and improved continuously by technology.

  4. Facts to change minds. Empathy to change hearts.

True human connection is necessary to drive meaningful change, so we empower our team to educate and advocate.

We’re eager to share stories that show why this work matters so much. We aim to meet skepticism with patience, and hostility with kindness.

  5. Turn bold ideas into even bolder action.

We seek to transform how addiction is perceived, medicine is practiced, and care is delivered.

Innovation must be sweeping, dramatic, and fast. We’re charging forward defiantly – because we can’t afford not to.

  6. Strong individuals, stronger together.

It is rare to find a truly diverse startup team. We’re so proud to be building one.

We construct bridges across insular worlds of clinical care, community service, technology development, and academia: uniting extraordinary minds under shared goals.
